Property Practitioners Act 22 of 2019

A practitioner who lets or manages property for gain is a property practitioner: a valid Fidelity Fund Certificate and a compliant trust account are required, and commission is unclaimable without an FFC.

Rental Housing Act 50 of 1999 (amended by Act 35 of 2014)

Governs the landlord–tenant relationship, requires a written lease on request, regulates deposits and interest, mandates incoming and outgoing inspections, and creates the provincial Rental Housing Tribunals.
