Checking a geotechnical engineer
- Book the geotech report before you finalise your house design — soil class can change the foundation budget by hundreds of thousands.
- Confirm the report is signed by an ECSA-registered engineer or SAIEG-accredited geologist.
- The report must state the NHBRC site class and a recommended foundation solution, not just borehole logs.
